Information for Applicants
Sending a child to the Love of Learning Montessori School represents a significant financial investment for the average family. Our families are very special people who recognize and appreciate that an investment in education ­ especially at an early age ­ truly does pay the best dividends. We are committed to bringing young people together from a broad spectrum of ethnic, national, and religious backgrounds. We welcome diversity and teach our children to broaden their perspective of the world through friendships, mutual respect, and understanding. Each new application is carefully considered according to the student’s individual talents and learning style. Our goal is to help families find the best match between student and school.

Visits to a Montessori Class
All interested parents are encouraged to visit the classroom and observe a class in action in order to intelligently choose the ideal program for your child during these very critical years in his/her growth. You may call the director for a convenient appointment.

Love of Learning Montessori School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Tuition (2011-2012 school year)

Early Childhood Program 9 – 12:00pm M-F $5,300 per year at the Harborside Campus; $5,150 per year at the Dix Hills Campus
Kindergarten Program 9 – 3:00pm M-F $6,100 per year at the Harborside Campus; $5,850 per year at the Dix Hills Campus
Elementary Program 9 – 3:00pm M-F $6,800 per year

All applications must be submitted with a $100 application fee and one-month deposit.

A sibling discount is available.

Transportation
Nursery Program: Parent car pool, individual.
Kindergarten & Elementary: Free busing through your local school district.

Extended Hours Program (2012-2013 school year)
The Love of Learning Montessori School offers an Extended Hours program for Pre-School children from 12:00 to 3:00pm. For Elementary & Kindergarten aged children the hours are from 3:00 to 4:30pm.

  • The program is geared towards recreational play and arts and crafts type activities.
  • The cost of the program is $8.00. It may be used on an as needed basis, daily, weekly or monthly.
  • Children attending this program bring their own lunch.  3 days a week a school lunch is offered for purchase.
  • All parents who use the program will be billed at the end of each month for the hours used. Payments are due by the 15th of each month.
  • All parents must sign out their child when they come to pick them up.
